Foxes and Badgers are commonly seen.

Fallow deer and Hares are also appearing here.

Rabbits and Mink are numerous (the Minks along the streams) Weasel and Stoat are occasionally sighted but very secretive and fast.

Hedgehogs, Bank Voles, Short-tailed Voles and Wood Mice have all been spotted in our gardens.

Moles we have in plenty, a little patience and you may well see one above ground!

Bats of different sizes are seen but mainly the pipistrelle. The inevitable Grey Squirrel is here, of course! The ponies, sheep and cattle on the moor are not wild but belong to farmers with grazing rights.

We have many different species of birds in this area, this is some of them. Those marked with a * can be seen in our garden or fields, mostly from the windows of the cottages!
