The Cabin is situated in the grounds of our home, Pine Lodge, a peaceful haven in the Dartmoor National Park about 3 miles from Buckfastleigh, which is between Exeter and Plymouth. The Cabin will be ready by May 2008.

For those requiring something a little different in a tranquil setting, The Cabin offers light and spacious comfortable single storey accomodation of living room, kitchen/dining room, shower and W.C. and two bedrooms, one with double and one with two single beds. Beds made up for arrival.

In a simple rustic style but with all the amenities you need, The Cabin is fully equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave, washer, tumble drier, TV/DVD/radio. There is a woodburner and electric heating. All beds have duvets and blankets. Bed linen is provided but not towels. Water is natural spring water which is tested annually. The Cabin is non-smoking.

Outside, there is a sheltered verandah with seating and The Cabin is surrounded by lawns and shrubs with views to the Moor. There is also a barbecue area and ample parking.

You are welcome to wander in our peaceful and interesting gardens. The open Moor itself is just 5 minutes' stroll along the bridle path to Ludgate. Along here you can reach our 20 acres of fields, woods, stream and marsh adjacent to the Moor. From here you can easily reach The Two Moors Way.

The Cabin offers a chance to unwind in tranquil surroundings away from the rat race! A haven for wildlife: badgers, foxes, deer, hares and bats and at various times of the year, over 50 species of bird. Experience the peace and stillness of an early morning or a true starry night. Free range eggs on the house - chickens permitting!

As with the Cottage, we offer friendly help and advice for places to visit including lesser known ones, to make your stay more stress-free and interesting. Very well behaved pets by arrangement only, at a small extra charge.
